Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Hello 2014!!! New Years Eve was great. Gennavieve, Andrew and myself spent the evening doing fireworks and wondering where in the heck 2013 went. My family does New Years BIG! I really missed being home and we aren't planning on missing it next year.

Thanks to Handy Andy's skills at "selfies" we were able to get a fun snapshot of the three us of us. Happy New Year!

We all had our favorite type of firework. Gennavieve stuck to the SPARKLERS but was still pretty unsure why I was letting her play with fire. No words needed. The picture says it all.

It didn't take her long to get the hang of it and soon enough it looked more like this. Definitely fun, still a little confused.

Andrews favorite by far was the Roman Candles. He had way too much fun trying to hit the fire hydrant and other things that I will not mention... ;)

My favorite of the fire works were the SMOKE BALLS!! I drew some stuff in the snow which I thought was awesome!!

And another one...

As you can see, we had a BLAST!

It's tradition for us to come up with New Years resolutions. You always have the typical lose weight, eat healthier etc etc. This year, mine is to blog. Document all the wonderful things we do and have a record to look back on. Wish me luck! Happy New Year! May it be the best one yet!

2013 in Review

2013 was one heck of a year! I've learned so much and look forward to applying my new found knowledge in 2014. I moved, twice. Continued Gennavieve's adoption process; Single Momin' it! Gained not one, not two, but THREE baby cousins (baby Mike and twins Kianalei & Kalena). Watched my youngest brother wrestle for the first time in too long. Here is a few pics taken during 2013. Enjoy.

July 4th in our new apartment!

This girl is such a diva

I met this guy, Andrew! A little about him, he is 11 months older than me, works as a Helicopter Mechanic and has two cats. He enjoys: motorcycles (actually, anything with an engine), guns, building things and TOOLS! We met in June 13' and had a great several months. We spent some time in Bear Lake, Houston and Ely, NV. Looking forward to what 2014 has in store.
The zoo!! We spent several hot summer days here on our zoo pass! G is finally old enough to enjoy it. Although she seemed to be most amused by the size of the elephant poop than anything else. :/ We LOVE Hogle Zoo!!
My favorite thing about this whole year is that I made it home for Christmas for the first time in several years. Man it felt good to be home! I miss my family and can't wait to go back.

Several more pictures to come once I get them downloaded!! :)

About Me!

Well first off, I was born and raised in Houston Texas. I attended Roth Elementary, Hildebrandt Middle School, Schindewolf Middle School, Klein Collins High School, and Vistas High School Program. I went on and continued my education at North Harris Community College and then on to Brigham Young University of Idaho. Right now I am working as a Financial Planner for Independence University and my schooling is at a stand still.

I adopted one of the coolest kids there is! Gennavieve. She is my one and only child. Some of her favorite things include: LaLa Loopsy, hot dogs, chocolate milk, dancing, singing and most of all... Reading. She is creative, empathetic and HYPER. She is 4 years old and will be 5 on July 12th.

I have three little brothers. They mean the world to me. I am so proud of each of them. D is the oldest. He became a teenage father a few days before his 18th birthday and I've admired him for being theresponsible, caring and providing Father that he is.  Kawika (Kavika) is the middle brother. He is one of the most talented kids I've ever seen in my life. He started riding a bike at the age of two with no training wheels!! I couldn't believe it. I've never seen so much athletic ability in my life. Wrestling is his God given gift. He's the natural. When his mind is in it, he is undefeatable. Kimo in the youngest of us all. He is one smart little boy. He has always done well is school and is an easy kid to handle. His athletic ability in wrestling and in gymnastics is top notch. I love my little bros!

My hobbies include fishing, camping, off roading, driving, traveling, weekend trips, mini vacations, hot tubbing, cooking, and a whole bunch more. I like the UFC, kit kats, flowers, afternoon naps, Dr. Pepper, the sun, pickles, night walks on the beach, texting, sleeping in on Saturday, country music, cranberry juice, chocolate chip cookies, thunder storms, Joe Dirt, and much more! I dislike roaches, mexican music, apple juice, peanut butter, tomatoes, people who don't know how to drive, and coke.

I'm very diverse. An example is my class ring. It has piano keys on one side and a wrestling chick on the other side. I'm girly, yet can be such a boy. I love getting my nails and hair done and stuff like that but at the same time I won't pass up a fishing trip with the boys. I love mudding and going off roading. I don't mind getting a little dirty and I'm always up for a sports game!
